Responsibilities of Membership
"All members of Delta Zeta shall be chosen for moral, social and intellectual worth."
Constitution, Article III, Section 3.
You are a new member of Delta Zeta because the members of your chapter have found in you the kind of woman they want for a sister—someone who will carry the chapter's accomplishments to new heights and someone who will reflect the pride, loyalty and commitment they have in Delta Zeta.
The expectations of membership present each member with important responsibilities.
Respect for Delta Zeta's heritage, traditions and policies ensures that you are committed to make your chapter, and thus the national organization, the very best it can be. Delta Zetas are proud of their sisterhood, and you will preserve it for those who are yet to come.
Familiarize yourself with Delta Zeta's policies and procedures and follow them. Failure to do so may require that your chapter impose disciplinary action on you.
Learn more about these policies as you read the Policy Booklet in your New Member Education packet, and the Constitution and Code of Regulations, which your Vice President of New Member Education will provide to you.
As a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, you must be in good standing at all times. Good standing is defined as the fulfillment of all moral, scholastic and financial obligations of a Delta Zeta member or chapter.
Take pride in your Delta Zeta sisterhood!
