ΔΖ Publications and Programs
The Sorority utilizes many media to inform both members and those outside Delta Zeta (such as college and university administrators, fraternity and sorority advisors, etc.) about Delta Zeta Sorority and the Delta Zeta Foundation. Each audience sees Delta Zeta from a different viewpoint, so it is important that the image of Delta Zeta presented to them is a consistently positive one. It is interesting to note that Delta Zeta's members range from age 18 to over 100 years of age. With this span in generations, communications become even more important as we keep our members informed.
Delta Zeta National Web site
Delta Zeta has a national Web site located at www.deltazeta.org that offers lots of information about the Sorority. You can update your address and other information, find many of your friends and even shop online at DZ DeZigns. Many collegiate and alumnae chapters have Web sites which are linked to Delta Zeta's national Web site.
With advances in technology, the Internet offers an opportunity to chat with Delta Zetas around the world. A virtual alumnae chapter has been established to allow members this opportunity. In addition, the Delta Zeta national Web site offers bulletin boards to allow members to post messages and connect.
The LAMP
Initiated members of Delta Zeta receive a lifetime subscription to The LAMP, the official magazine of the Sorority. The LAMP keeps members informed of current events and trends in higher education; highlights important events within the Sorority and in the fraternal world in general; publicizes significant chapter and alumnae achievements and promotes the general interests of the Sorority.
In addition to alumnae and collegiate members, The LAMP is sent to fraternity and sorority advisors and presidents/chancellors of the universities and colleges where Delta Zeta chapters are located. The LAMP was first published in 1910 and has evolved through the years as the "voice" of the Sorority.
The Lampkin
The Lampkin is the official Convention newsletter, published on site each day of National Convention. The Lampkin documents Convention events, captures the spirit of the Convention experience and entertains and informs Convention attendees.
History Books
Three official history books have been published about Delta Zeta Sorority. The first, The Story of Delta Zeta, was published in 1934, written by National Historian and future National President Grace Mason Lundy Ε. National Historian Florence Hood Miner ΑΒ wrote the second history in 1982. Entitled Delta Zeta Sorority 1902-1982, it encapsulated the first 80 years of the Sorority.
In 2002, A Century of Sisterhood: The Story of Delta Zeta 1902-2002 was unveiled at the Centennial Convention in Oxford, Ohio. This history, complete with color photos, documented the entire 100 years of Delta Zeta and was written by LAMP Editor Nancy E. Brewer Α and freelance writer Rochelle Mackey.
Online Publications
Online publications include Collegiate Success Stories, Philanthropy Success Stories, and Dateline: Delta Zeta, the Sorority's e-newsletter for alumnae.
